Updates & Licensing¶
FocuZ is a licensed product with a built-in trial, activation, and update flow — all under the License menu.
Trial¶
FocuZ runs as a trial so you can evaluate it before activating. When the trial period ends, activate a license to keep using it.
Activating a license¶
Open License ▸ Activate:
- Online — enter your email and license key; FocuZ activates over the internet.
- Offline — for machines with no internet: FocuZ generates a request file, you exchange it for a response file, and load that to activate.
- Deactivate — release the license (e.g. to move it to another machine).
Your license is stored securely on the machine.
Updates¶
- What's New — after updating, FocuZ shows the changes in the new version.
- Check for Updates — see whether a newer version is available and get the download.
- Release channels — licensed users can opt into beta / RC pre-releases; otherwise you get stable
releases only. (Versions are dated —
YY.MM.DD.xx; see Installation.)
Renew updates¶
A license includes a period of free updates. Renew Updates (License menu) extends that period when it's time, through the in-app renewal flow.
